Bluebonnet Presentations

Bluebonnet's team of electric power specialists is always available to give interesting, informative presentations to local civic clubs, social clubs, city and county organizations, senior citizen groups, K-12 school groups and others.

Topics covered include:

  • Latest co-op news and industry trends
  • What makes an electric co-op unique
  • How electric power gets to your home

Safety Presentations

We teach elementary students about electricity and how to be safe around it. The educational materials also can be modified for older audiences, such as civic groups and senior citizen organizations.

In the presentation, topics covered may include:

  • How electricity works
  • Using a live high-voltage electrical demonstrations, what can happen when people are not careful around electricity

During the presentation, Bluebonnet's employees also explain the co-op's participation in Rural Crime Watch, a community awareness program to help report and prevent crime. Children are taught that any time they see someone wearing Bluebonnet's logo, they can safely ask that person for help.

Eco Home Tour

We offer tours of our Eco Home in Brenham, a sustainably built model home showcasing state-of-the-art energy-smart construction, materials and technology. The tour is a great opportunity for builders, those in the construction trade, students and anyone who wants to learn more about creating an energy-saving home.
